And btw: the header "Same Procedure as every Year" is a quote from the British skit The 90th Birthday with Freddie Frinton, which is very popular in Germany. It happens to be a weird German tradition to watch this on New Year's Eve!

Oh wow. We were on the same wavelength! I posted my Christmas movie selection, too! I'll go for It's a Wonderful Life in your choices. Good stuff, great B&W. And I always love to watch the classic Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim. Not Christmas without reading the story or watching that film.

ReplyDeleteNo favorite movies for me though there are some in our house (not me) that watch all of the Mythbuster or Top Gear episodes over the holidays…
ReplyDeleteIt's A Wonderful Life definitely in my top 5. Always enjoy making and taking time to sit and enjoy over the Holidays; a combination of film watching, story reading and these days, audio booking.

ReplyDeleteich selbst hab keine Klassiker für Weihnachten oder die Feiertage. Je nach Stimmung, manchmal bewusst Horror oder was Düsteres, manchmal eher romantisch-kitschig, ...
Quite an eclectic mix of movies. I don't think I have any favorite Christmas movies, although we have thought about watching Scrooged with Bill Murray since it is streaming on Netflix right now.
